Graphic Artists & Illustrators, how would you like your artwork featured in an online comic book? How about having your artwork flashing on an overhead projector on the backdrop of a concert hall during a live performance? In addition to that, how about having a link to your artwork with a short bio as a featured artist of the week in a blog? If this sounds appealing, then you need to enter Phantom's "Hero Complex Comic Book Contest".
I am seeking to partner with graphic artists across the country to find artwork that brings to life, the audio comic book that is my album. I have scored scenes complete with dialogue, narration and scene instruction. All I need is the artwork. Beginning 4/28, I will begin posting the audio scenes from my album along with the script in the lyrics section as well as in my blog. The artist who submits the best black and white sketches of the scene will become the featured artist in the blog with a link to their personal artwork as well as an artwork folder in my pics section. Your artwork (with your name in the credits) will also become part of my performance as I will begin incorporating, overhead slide projection. For a tune up, feel free to submit color renderings of Thee Phantom in various action poses to the aformentioned e-mail address. There are plenty of pictures of me in the pics section on my site: www.myspace.com/theephantom. All styles of artwork are welcome, just don't make me look like Blade. lol. The best 15 to 20 of those will be put together in a montage and made into a music video for the first track on my "Hero Complex" album entitled, "Thee Phantom Cometh".
