the bar for an mc has been raised since 1988. these guys are just flabby and sick these days. they were prolly aight in the late 80s but they can't compare to nas, cam, biggie and hov. the game has just advanced too much for these losers.

It does translate and so does KRS-One's music who is probably been borrowed from more than any rapper in the history of hip hop.

I was born in 85 and I'm from the south if I can feel Rakim's music you should be able to too. Start with Paid In Full and Follow The Leader his 2 best records. Listen to the lyricism and the way this man put words together. At that time Rakim was building the foundation for the "MC".

i agree krs 1 and rakim are just boring flows.. i dont know why they call him god MC hes whack....i was born in 83 and i heard his catalogue. i heard nas, eminem, jay-z, pacs, biggie and so far thos last 5 names are way better...
