born out the womb the room
darker than prospects at high noon
gunshots bring doom outside the saloon
lead flies then flies hover
another baby mother left to suffer
it's too soon usually it used to be
death was expected at an early age
so death wasn't sad, but we should've turned the page
to a new age, rage brings pain to those trapped in the cage
this is a modern era, vaccines and suv taxis
but still the facts be the hood sees tragedy
regularly rain down their cheeks it's sad to see
mothers and sisters grappling for help
something to reach for
young lives like C4
quick and explosive
so this is a toast to
the few that make it and the many that don't
ashes to ashes, we're all left burnt...
