so i do the whole beat thing for fun....im no dr dre.. im probably the opposite.. but i think its a relaxing hobby.. learning to play the piano and composing something..
so anyway i made this real quick..and im not a rapper so i dont know if a rapper can rap on it.. so maybe you rappers can offer criticism too..or you can just say it sucks...i appreciate that too....
btw i played everything on it..all done in reason 3.0

Not bad. Typical kinda generic west coast beat tho if you did it. It can be rapped on easily. Let me have it for free dun dun.

Not bad fam..I like the keys..I'm pretty sure someone can spit to it with no problem..Keep it up.

Positives: If you just started to do this as a hobby I think you are showing some promise. The drums and keys are very simple but it is arranged well for someone who just started. You don't try to do too much and focused in on making it sound as good of quality as you can get.
Negatives: Can't say I think this is a westcoast beat though, it doesn't really knock like a true westcoast beat would IMO. There was no funk to it :laugh: I will say you need to add little bit more flavor to your beats to make them stand out.

i think it got some potential like the guy above said we see the idea and the vision but the execution still needs some work.
