Linkin Park's Minutes to Midnight

After 14 months in the studio, Linkin Park has set a release for its new Warner Bros. album, "Minutes to Midnight." First single "What I've Done" hits radio on April 2; the band recently shot a video for the track in the California desert, directed by DJ Joseph Hahn. This new album was co-produced by group member Mike Shinoda and Rick Rubin. Below is the download link for the album(radio) and dont forget to buy the original album-release May 15th.

very good album, just bought it over the weekend, was released in Australia on the 12th. atleast 5 or 6 decent songs on it and the new sounds is not bad, soft rock was never my thing but apparently its the category they fall under with this album. sounds nothing like soft rock to me.

just watched the new clip as well, on their BLOG (http://minutestomidnight.wordpress.com) page, not a bad clip and very IMO with all those images. what do u guys think of it?

Yeah I even like some of the softer stuff like "In Between", "Valentine's Day", "Leave Out All The Rest" and even the vintage sound with "Bleed It Out"

I actually think the softer tracks were stronger on it then the harder ones, but I still miss the trademark sound they had. It's a good album, just not what I expected.

Yeah I like Chester like the next guy, but why does Mike only have 2 solo tracks and just one collabo with Chester? I know they are trying something new, but Mike impressed me on "In Between" wanted to hear more stuff like that. The more I listen to this disc the more I love it. Best CD, rap, r&b, or rock, I bought this year. I've been playing the hell outa "Valentine's Day" and "Leave Out All The Rest." You think we have to wait another 4 years for a new CD and do they go back to their old style cuz of the hate?

According to Hits Daily Double, the cd is projected at #1 with about 600,000 copies sold.

I like Lp but I think this cd is too soft and there's not enough Mike trying to change their sound I guess but I like their 2 albums before better than this one.

They are just 'maturing' i guess. Its just like some bands playing full hardcore then start producing albums which would make Avril proud...eg the lost prophets
