"le disko" is too good. why haven't I heard these guys before? I'm started to be even more convinced that California is home to the best music ever.

eh ..over the past 4 decades or so they've consistently produced fresh... cutting edge and just plain awesome artists\bands over there.....i'd day a solid 7/10 of my fav bands (cure ....depeche mode..smiths..new order/Joy Division...radiohead ..etc) of all time are from the uk. *shrug*

Yeah, I'm not really a fan of any of those bands.

I can't really off the top of my head think of them producing anything worthwhile for some time now.

If it was general influence/all time the UK would probably be #1 and New York #2 with everything else a distant third (if we're talking strictly rock soemone could push for Detroit being up there if we're not).

I gotta 100% agree with this statement..My order goes the UK at 1, New York at 2, Cali at 3..Gettin' back on topic..Yeah that album is a solid 8/10..It's got great beats..Plenty of great songs, inlcuding "Le Disko" and "Starts With One"...

Just mentioning Canada as some sort of monolithic entity is funny to me. But maybe it shouldn't be any funnier than thinking of New York or California in the same way.
