So there's a chance that I may have a small tear in my right knee, damn! Its swollen, painful, and when I step down the wrong way I scream, I walk around screaming all day. I got it looked at today and I'm going in for an MRI soon & to see a specialist. Right now I have to stay off of it as much as possible and I'm going to be on crutches. I'm really concerned about everything and if I'm gooing to be able to run like normal again. What do u guys know about people coming back from knee injuries? I don't mean the Maurice Greens of the world that have the best people in the country patching them up, I'm talkin bout Raheem from the hoop team around the way.

I need to know the mechanism of injury..basically how it happened...and if the injury has happened before...do you know if this individual had any type of surgery in the past...? Also..if this particular person heard any type of noise when injury was first noticed or walking such as crack, snap, or pop... from there i can probably make an assumption.. :)

Well the person is me :(
See, my right knee has given me problems for years, at 1st my doc's thought it was just something from my sickle cell, but recently he found that my sc was just a part of the problem. A few weeks back I participated in a lap-a-thon and I basically did laps for an hour with the team. The night b4 I did a lot of sprinting and someone asked me to show them something so we were running on the infield and it was pretty grassy & uneven...lil holes and everything. I hit a small hole but not hard enough to stop me or make me fall a bit. I don't recall hearing any kind of snap, crackles, or pops at th time. I really think its just a combo of everything. He also said there could be some cartaligde(sp?) problems too. He put his hand on the inside of my knee and pushed and it felt like he was breaking my leg! No wonder he told me not to hit him right b4 he did it lol. Won't be sure of much until the mri, hopefully they can fit me in this week. I'll keep u posted...
Thankx to u and my sissy Elle
