gurrrl, dont hold ya breath

I got my flight to SF booked this weekend

That Red Rocks place in Denver looks SICK tho, if I lived closer, I'd be trying to catch her there.

BTW if you want tics, I suggest you hit up bjork.com sooner rather than later, unless you like to leave things up to chance.........

damn, I do not "get" Vespertine at all, that's dead last for me (tho I am making a renewed attempt to 'get' it lol) & Medulla is my new favorite!! I always liked it, but am relistening and it's amazing... I wake up with those songs in my head.... then Homogenic, Post and Debut all mashed up for 2nd3rd4th place

I need to watch Dancer in the Dark again, but it disturbed me so much I dont even want to listen to the music  But I do like "I've seen it all" hmm, might have to give the soundtrack another spin.... Havent heard Drawing Restraint.

Let's not forget that Bjork has had some INCREDIBLE b-sides. "Karvel" and "I Go Humble" doo-doo on at least 95% of her catalogue... not at all an exaggeration.

If you'd heard Drawing Restraint 9, you would have a new least favorite Bjork record. Trust us.

this is her worst sh!t solo, ever, imo.

i hate this record.

towai tei please give timbo some lessons on bjork's whole genre.

i said this over at hhc. man this sh!t sounds like her wack sugarcubes sh!t, and devo mixed together, plus the bathroom interlude from debut.

avoid this record if you are a bjork fan.

her performance on there is classic. the hooks, and other sh!t is awful.

i'm so glad she went solo, but at the time i had to deal with it to hear her.

when debut came out, it was like when lauren went solo before she went solo.

the spooks is another group like the sugarcubes. i can't really deal with the other people in the band except the singer.

heard this today for the first time. Classic Bjork. A lot of this sh1t reminds me of both post and vesperatine. favorite tracks are "vertebrae by vertebrae" and "declare independance". The latter is Bjork like I haven't heard her i don't think ever. Reminds me of "pluto" a lot. Sh1t is just fierce. Thus, my (completely conditional) list of the best Bjork Albums:

1. Homogenic
2. Post
2. Vesperatine
4. Volta (obviously need repeated listens)
5. Medulla
6. Debut
7. Drawing Restraints 9/ Selma Songs (never listen to these...ever)

The Timbaland tracks are ok. Definately not the highlights of the album, but nothing to be scoffed at. Definately will make my top 10 list come December, but then again i haven't heard much new sh1t this year. Thats what the summer is for I guess.

I rate this album so highly. Bjork is one the few musicians (along with Mike Patton, Damon Albarn and a few others) who I'll likely buy any project she's associated with. In order of ranking, I'd put it above Medulla and just slightly above Debut (4 & 4.5/5 respectively), a bit under Vespertine (4.5/5) and under Post & Homogenic (5/5). I don't rate Drawing Restraint or Selmasongs because they're soundtracks. Great soundtracks but not really albums as much as they are mood setters or scores.

Jesus, Volta has put me in a fukkin Bjork funk like no other. Im playin Post and Debut as if I just discovered these jawns ("Enjoy" is that sh1t). Jesus this woman is a genius. Unfortunately the fact that I've been listening to these albums more than the new ish might mean something. I will have to say that her first four are better than Volta. Can't really decide though. So for now Ill just remain content with what I got.

Volta is pretty good. My main disappointment is that (for the first time) she doesn't seem to be doing anything new. Up until now, everything she put out was unique and untried (by her) before. Maybe that's a good thing, because I thought the Medulla experiment had so so results and Drawing Restraint 9 was awful. Volta seems to sum up everything she's done since Debut--bringing everything together with some success.

just peep the bass-heavy-insanity of what Hyperballad turns into, and then imagine a crazy light show to go with it while 20,000 people get their minds collectively blown.... MADNESS!!!

I hear that, I was upset by only being able to go once and having to sit far back..... each show is different, too..... ah, if only I were a jet-setting playgirl....
