What are some of your remedies for Shin Splints? I know we've talked about this in here b4 but that was quite some time ago. Being a track coach I get someone complaining of shin splints everyday and I tell em its a "gift" from God to all track runners lol but I give them the basic ice them down for 15 mins at a time and try something like Tiger Balm, Icy Hot, or my favorite Kwan Loong Oil, but is there anything else that can help?? I'm out of Kwan Loong Oil and my shins are killin me right now and the icy hot doesn't really cut it for me since I've had them so long.
Any Suggestions??

only weak people get 'em
you should stop running so much cuz you obviously ain't fit for it (even after all these years)

I'll mos def look into this. I got some kwan loong oil and rubbed it in and put my heating pad over for a few mins and it worked great!
As far as being a shoe problem I'm not so sure if thats the case for me and any of my runners because we goto this place out in Berkeley to get fitted for our spikes/running shoes and to make sure we get the correct shoe....but hey, anythings possible.
JBone...I'm not a distance runner but I did run cross country (by force lol) back in HS and thats when I started noticing it, I'm a sprinter. I doesn't hurt when I run at all, its just after when I'm chilling when I feel it the most or if I'm walking around the track just checking on my athletes.
Nike...weak is not a word I'm familiar with. Being that I run with some of my good friends on Team USA I don't really have to say more...but thx for ur input!
Thankx all!
