pretty much. i got rotator cuff tendonitis from swimming 2+ plus miles a day for a few years now...most of the time i just gut it out and swim thru the pain...or ice my shoulders down after workouts. not much else i can do except quit swimming ..which i won't do.
did you have surgery for your injury?

nahhh, I hurt it either through benching or the butterfly machine. I let it heal for a week and hurt it again benching.

So I stopped benching for two weeks and now I've been taking it light working my way up ever since then. All this in a matter of 1 and half months.

I don't really feel any pain but I do feel a slight pull when im benching. After a work out, it feels a little heavy. It's getting better but its been one slow process.

My left shoulder would cramp or feel like it wanted to crack when putting weight up. Sometimes it cracks doing presses. Ill try buying some cissus and seeing if that helps

Its so slow to heal because you use your arms and shoulders during the majority of the day. Even people with desk jobs use their shoulders a good bit of the day. If it was a Rotator Cuff injury expect an even longer recovery time... did you get an MRI or CT Scan?

Also consider switching to Dumbbells for most of your compound lifts like Bench Press. Using Dumbbells for flat presses take alot of stress off your shoulders during the lift. Also avoid Incline bench for a while unless your willing to sacrifice the weight and go with dumbbells.

And please remember to warm up properly, specifically the Rotator Cuff. Grab a 5 lb. plate and extend your arms like a lateral raise, but keep it raised and slowly and gently rotate your arms clockwise for a while and then counter-clockwise as well. Stay away from any form of Ballistic stretching or high-rep warm-up sets until your shoulder is healed too.

First practice of the year....it was about 50 degrees out and pretty wet.

It felt good about 3 seasons ago, but that was for only about a month.

Arm strength just isn't what it was and I can barely lift my arm if I have to make a long/strong throw. Sometimes my right ear gets sore if my shoulder is really bothering me.

Went from CF to 1B

This thread is depressing as hell

Nahh, I haven't got it checked. I figured I would rehab it and take it slow and try to work my way back. If I have trouble working my way back, then Ill get it checked. The pain was no where near severe. It was a lingering pain.

A personal trainer told me the cause for the pain was me just focusing in on one method of benching. He said though my chest and tris were building up strength and muscle, the area around my deltoids and upper chest were weak. So all the weight I've been lifting put extra strain in the weak areas causing for the damage.

I'm alright right now. I think its more of the mental aspect of me trying to prevent it from happening again. I warm up my shoulder areas everytime I work out now, using the methods you suggested. Ive also put a lot more emphasis in working out my deltoids and shoulder areas.

I hope to be back to where I was before but its been a slow process.
