from what i hear it does work if you follow it to the Tee.
however there are conflicting opinions on the muscle confusion theory. some swear by it while others say the theory itself is bogus. i honestly don't know cause i'm no doctor.
but the way i see it, logically, P90X will work if you follow it because it basically focuses on resistence muscle training, allowing the right muscles to rest on the right days so they can recover and build bigger and stronger, a VERY precise and hardcore diet/nutrition plan divided in 3 phases in coordination with the workout plan, increasing metabolism rate with cardio, bigger muscles which burn more fat while resting and eating more smaller meals and last but not least, sleeping 7 to 8 hours a day. whether the muscle confusion theory is real or BS, doing ALL this HAS to work. at the end of the day the program makes sense off of that alone.
they basically broke down the whole thing to a science to maximize fat loss and muscle gain. at last that's what it seems like from what i've seen and read.

It works. Two family members went through it and look great.
You're not gonna build much muscle with the program as is.
Great for condition, losing weight (if you diet for such), refining, etc.
I plan to do this after long "bulk" seasons with maybe a little alterations.
But yea I recommend this to anyone wanting to aim for a better lifestyle.

It's hard if you travel alot. But it's far from a gimmick....the program has all the essentials and works if you put in the effort.
