Personally i hate jogging ,and i hate riding the bike at the gym. I go to 24 hour fitness and the best workout for me, is to take 1000 jump shots within 2 hours. You get the most out of this workout if you don't have someone passing the ball back to you. Basically you got to go chase every ball that you miss on your own. Make sure to jump on every shot. Not Set Shots allowed.

Start off with maybe 50 jumpers or so,then work your way up. I lost like 20 pounds in 1 month doing this ,plus dieting properly. You got to get to a gym where you got the court all to yourself. I know not everyone can bust out 1000 jumpers the 1st workout but you can start off with 50 to 100 shots ,then work your way up.

This also helps me in streetball because my jumper is Money from doing the workout. I get in shape ,plus my jumper is ridiculous.

No indoor gym near where I live.
I guess I'll try this when the weather gets a lil warmer.
1,000 shots look a bit much, tho. LOL.
full court layup drills are also good I think.
shyt used to kill me back in high school.

The best cardio is the one that you enjoy. I love playing basketball with friends but most of them are too busy. I remember when I use to shoot/play horse/run games for like 4-5 hours a day for fun on a double rim where I lived. I use to kill people in highschool and in my complex with the jumpers.

Are you sure you take 1000 shots? Props if you do!! that basically 8 to 10 shots a minute for two hours straight.

With a friend I would run to the half court line, get a pass from just inside the three-point line and shoot, repeat for 25 shots at a time and alternate.

There is another drill. This one I made up. If you have 2 other friends or even 3 or 4, this would work. You also need about 3 or so basketballs. Once you shoot, someone will pass you the ball immediately and you must shoot immediately. We try to get everyone 100 straight shots. Great workout.

If you break it down it sets of 50 its a lot easier. See how many shots you can make every 50 shots, and try and top that on each 50. I get addicted to trying to top my previous 50 and i end up taking between 800 and 1000 shots Rest about 2 minutes in between each 50.

Start off doing maybe 200 jumpers then build your stamina from there.
