Let me find out Courtney Love was rocking just as hard as Kurt Cobain. Too bad she got slept on because of Kurt's popularity. Violet, Miss World, Asking For It, Doll Parts, Jennifer's Body.....all great tracks.

I hope her new solo album is going to be as good.

And playing them. And writing them. And recording them years before. (See the song "Old Age", which Nirvana almost put out themselves, but then when Hole did it Cobain didn't take writing credit. He was so nice to his loving wife.)

Live Through This is a great album, I just don't know of any artist that ever had such a good album without ever doing anything nearly as great after that. Everything's Courtney's ever done since has been horrible (with the exception of what Billy Corgan wrote for her, which is okay).

They were both on that smack (he way more than she,) there were a few domestic disputes that involved cops, and all that good stuff. I have no way of knowing if Courtney boned Corgan while they were married, but it's true that Kurt believed they did. One of the reasons people cite that he killed himself was because he didn't want to go through another divorce (his parents being the first.)

my absolute favorite album in 9th grade. i think i burned a hole in that damn cd i played it so much....doll parts...violet...miss world ...Jennifer body... :yes: she made me take up playing guitar for a brief second back in high school...that quickly fizzled cos i sucked at it. haha
anyway everything she did after that album = garbage.

Yeah, but "Pretty on the Inside" is a pretty good album, and that was made before she met Kurt. I think it's better then "Live through this" personally - although I don't really like either of them all that much.

I'm not a fan of Courtney at all, but I think she gets a lot of unwarrented hate. A lot of indie-rock nerds with mommy issues seem to enjoy taking out their fustrations on her...

I like Celebrity Skin. I know its a pop album..but its a very easy to listen to pop album.
