Bloc Party was weak, and I never really felt Arcade Fire.
So far 4hero - Play with the Changes owns the 1st quarter.

I dunno how many times you listened to that Bloc Party, but for me it took repeated listens to appreciate it, I find it to be quite good. The Arcade Fire is shapin up to be better than I expected (but Im not into snooty overrated indie bands anyway).

!!! and LCD Soundsystems albums are both way way better. that Bloc Party album is pretty subpar.

I just got Mew's Frengers album last week. The album is from 2003, but was released in the U.S. for the first time last week. I think the band is amazing and I actually like this album better than their newest one And the Glass Handed Kites (although that album is good too).
SoftLightes - Say No to Being Cool, Say Yes to Being Happy or Carla Bruni - No Promises

I've been hearing good things about the new Modest Mouse and Arcade Fire. I'll give Arcade Fire another chance and give Neon Bible a listen today.

after repeated spins the bloc party is my fav so far
the explosions sounds exactly how you would expect it to, so its pretty good
a actually liked the new shins more than i thought i would
after 2 listens the modest mouse has alot of good songs but it kind of lulls during the middle of the cd

Well, after some time I'd have to rank things:
1. Rob Crow - Living Well ...lead singer from Pinback, amazing record
2. Bloc Party - Weekend In The City
3. The Shins - Wincing The Night Away
I'd put the Fall Out Boy over the Shins, but they aint really indie rock and Arcade Fire is aiight and Im still havent really listened to the Modest Mouse, but that could take the Shins spot

The Rakes EP really disappointed me.

Are you talking about the Remix EP or the new album?
i'm holding off on the new arcade fire until it's released in stores, but based on their performance at a few weeks ago in nyc, i'd say this will be one of my favs.
for now, the 2nd half of deerhunter's cryptograms totally has me hooked (still getting used to the first 1/2), and i'm really feeling the new LCD Soundsystem too.
I've heard good things about the new Feist but I haven't had a chance to listen. The first one was classic.

I guess it's a new album. In any case, it sucked.

Nope, don't like them at all. I like pop-punk just fine but this is pretty boring to me.
