He says he's had enough, he's tired, sick of all the threats and feels he should be more responsible and looking after his daughter more.

in terms of what wiley does/did, he was the first to do it, he invented the whole grime scene. To be honest i beleive the mans right who the fukk are these ungrateful cunts who are sending death threats to him, thats a damn fukkin shame that he's been pushed away from his own music like that. it makes me sick. Not being bad tho but he did start it. I mean what's the point in sending for D Double E and Sway ("I've been away for a year / You had Sway for a year...")? I mean after a while he had so many war dubs on deck it was only a matter of time before it got on top. It was like a grime version of Murder She Wrote when one person who you know is gonna get murdered walks around pissing everybody off and you're just trying to work out whodunnit.

Turns out it was probably his former best friend God's Gift that ended up rushing him at Rinse FM.

LOL! True say, Gods Gift (his former best friend) rushed him at the studio when he was mouthing off (again) and within a couple of weeks he retires. I'm personally disappointed in the guy. If Wiley had stopped sending for everybody under 30 years old and concentrated on promoting and opening avenues for a new album he would never had to get rushed and he would never have had to quit. This move may have killed off the grime scene. Thanks 'D!ck'.

i can see where mans are comin from on this but Wiley has come out in public about almost every bit of heat he's had on wax and said that its pureley proffessional (lethal, dizzee, sway etc) i know wiley calls a lot of cats out and he has said more sh!t than most about other mc's but man has said about 9 out of 10 cats he's called out its pureley on wax and theres no real beef. Im not condoning him calling anyone out or starting sh!t but i think bare mans have taken him too seriously and took it personal!

True but the grime scene is much smaller than the US hip-hop scene. If you're gonna cuss next man that you might see in Tescos this saturday it's hard to keep it on wax. Especially when you air out your former best friend and cousin on radio for being fake. He should have ignored the petty stuff and concentrated on main prize which is an album and international acclaim. Now he's gonna release another underpromoted, underselling grime album, refuse to do interviews and shows and stick another nail in the coffin of grime music. Instead he spends his time sending out sly disses for artists like Sway, D Double E and Dizzee when most people would prefer them to collaborate. But like he said, he is a bastard.
