I just bought a MPC 2500 a Friday and my boy who is a DJ/producer who has the MP16 says its not worth it and that I should have just gotten the MPC 1000 because its cheaper and does the same things? What do yall think???

how many q links does the 1000 have? how many does yours have?

how many outputs at the back dos the 1000? how many does yours have?

i rest my case without even disagreeing that they do the same thing.

im enjoying my 2500. check out www.mpc-forums.com but beware the majority of the community there are terribley snobby: i was threatened to be banned for admitting to using cracked software.lame.there is a wealth of knowledge there tho.

I paid about 2 stax brand new with the cd drive and a warranty from Guitar Center. Also how do you save your samples from records on to the hard drive or flash disk with out deleting other stuff. And also how much internal memory do they have?

yeah the specs are mostly the same, and so is the OS, except for a few added features i.e. grid edit, etc. but youre better off with the 2500 for the 8 outs, durability, and quality of the pads

forget the 32mb card, its piss

ebay yourself a 4gig apple microdrive used for ipod minis. get one of these and remove the tape and thing called a molex at the top and you have yourself a bumper CF card.

go into the load menu. select the A.LOAD. turn it all the way to OFF. this will stop all those annoying projects annoying you when you start up.

if you want to save something, highlight the folder you want to save it in or the root folder and hit DO IT. to look inside a folder, highlight it and press the > cursor button.

the manual is your best friend, trust me.

peace.

What up pimp, believe or not I use the keyboard for sounds, One day I'll use it as a controller. My sampler is a Yamaha su-700 that's what I use for sequencer/sampler/drum machine sometime I use fruity loops but I prefer hardware. My turntable are powder coated burgundy chrome I did this a few year back when I was a powder coater. Thanks for the feedback on the beats. Man the beat game is no joke I just do it now as a hobby.. I'll be curious to hear what beats you have done with mpc-2500. so hit me back when done..

Real Hip Hop Network will be the first television network to introduce a
show dedicated to Hip Hop Music Production

New York, New York - 3/13/2007 Real Hip Hop Network will introduce "Back to the Lab" a show dedicated to hip hop music production, its technologies and lifestyle. The show will be produced by Brian Jay, and hosted by Cadinze, the author of the Hip Hop Producers Bible. Cadinze states, "This show will bring aspiring producers together with some the best Hip Hop Producers in the business. It will allow the aspiring producer to showcase their work while learning some of the techniques employed by the producers of today that are already pushing the envelope with great product. We are even going to select the shows introduction theme from a catalog of beats from aspiring producers that are part of the Skillz of the Trade Seminar. In short the show will break new ground, break new artists, and break new producers while serving as an educational medium for the next group of unknown producers with aspirations of greatness. I am very excited to become a part of history and look forward to the challenges of creating a phenomenal show." Real Hip Hop Network Vice President Jerome "Romeo" Leaks states, "Cadinze is very familiar with the production process, but what impressed me most about him is his relationships with the companies that produce the technologies that enable the hip hop producer. This is a situation that I am proud to be a part of and that I see as a huge win for Cadinze, the network, and the aspiring producer." The show is slated to begin May 20th 2007 at 9:00PM EST.
