MOS DEF-HIP-HOP vibe!!!!
I Began as a zygote defined by drum patterns and piano key notes/
Shards of a culture meant to create numerous quotes/
from emcees throats that thought provoke and demote/
Ignorance, I was created in the images of multiple lyricist/
An embyro that consists of sperm from Africa Bambaataa/
My beloved biological father, my indisputable author/
I began my development as scattered elements in African lands/
My DNA strands were numbered by grains of Sahara sand/
Deviaions from tap dances, bangs of drums with callous hands/
As my body mass dilated,I was migrated to United States of America/
My essence became infectious to the black youth like Malaria/
The Streets of New York brought definition into my character/
My body undistinguished, my voice came out as pidgin English/
But months in womb eventually assorted my genetic pieces/
A mentality of society couldn’t beat us, struggle couldn’t defeat us/
Instilled into my fetus, finally born through several 12” vinyl releases/
My father’s performances was like began baby shower/
But my infants years were spent through studio hours/
Then I became a toddler when Kurtis Blows was offered/
a record deal a child no longer conceal as I joined the genre roster/
I was hatchling meant to give emcees an arena for lyrical dispatching/
A young sapling meant to grow with raindrops of spits from several rapping/
So I had to overcome father-son attachment, extend my branches, grow many leaves/
make *****z believe, perceive beyond the hopeless life they once conceived/
And provide tha Saliva to feed a lyrical bonfire, provide black employment/
Develop from pure enjoyment: DJing, MCing, Graffiti, and B-Boyin’/
After years in my father’s arms protected from bodily harm, I walked on my own/
