So I've heard Radiohead and NIN are releasing new albums this year, I think this year is going to be good. What album are you anticipating the most? I can't wait to hear Switchfoot's new album OH Gravity. I sampled a few of their songs on itunes and they sound great. I can't wait to hear the entire album.
What album do you want?

If Radiohead drops, I'll cop.
But even more than that, I'm looking forward to Blue Note's remaster/reissue of Andrew Hill's Compulsion.
A lot of good stuff has already leaked.
LCD Soundsystem, Apostle of Hustle, Bloc Party, !!!. I'm looking openly looking forward to The Arcade Fire and secretly Modest Mouse.

*SIGH*, how did I know that the first bands mentioned in this thread were going to be groups 5-10 years past their prime.
GUNS N' ROSES are 1000x more anticipated any all the bands mentioned in this thread combined. I'm not even a real fan of theirs and even I recognize this. How can this even be a question? Of course GNR are the most anticipated. You have to have your head really far up alt/indie's ass to not realize this.
With that said, personally I'm looking forward to Arcade Fire more. Maybe other people want to hear the 5th whiny/incomprehensible Radiohead album or the 6th whiny/self-pitying NIN album, though--there's no accounting for taste.

I think he was asking what people were personally looking forward to. I've never liked GNR or followed 'em but isn't Axl the only original member in the band at this point?

Pretty much, though Dizzy's in the line up (he's been in the band off and on since Use Your Illusion. But Robin Finck and Bumblefoot play with them now, which is pretty cool. I saw them live a couple of times with Buckethead, and THAT MF if outside his mind sick on lead.
They also had Josh Freece on drums for a while. He's like my favorite drummer.
But everyone's been waiting for Chinese Democracy to come out since, sh*t... 2001? This March release date isn't really something i look forward to since we've all gotten this "ok, ok, ok, it's coming out... (insert date here)."
Anyway... I'm looking for:
Cold War Kids & Team Sleep.

There's only one that's got me salivating: El-P- I'll Sleep When You're Dead. Don't care abotu leaks or sh!t like that I'll cop when it drops, but with having Mars Volta and Trent Reznor as guests it can't possibly be anything less than great.

1) Hell Yeah drops in April. It has members of Mudvayne, Nothingface, and Pantera (Vinnie Paul). I wish the Mudvayne Bassists was in here, but it's not that type of music I guess. It like straigh-foward metal hard rock.
2) I think that new Shadows Fall will be very good cause they on an even bigger label now, so u know they are gonna change their style up again. See where they go this time around.
3) New Linkin Park album might be very good? You heard the 2006/2007 demos?
Linkin Park - Qwerty (LIVE)

Same version but with lyrics scrolling instead of the performance

Aight this song right here is real old to me, but i guess they remade it for the 2006 LPU compilation. Sounds much different. Can't here too much now since i can't blast the speakers:

Yeah she's gotta a new album dropping Spring 07 I think, she said she took Timbo's beats and improved on em, so I can't wait to hear the end result.

I'm excited about this, but she could probably poot all over a Timbaland beat with the bass turned all the way down and still sound better than her last album.

Those are two acts I might cop. A friend of mine tried putting me on to Radiohead back in 01, but I never really felt their music until I was re-put on to them last year. Never heard much of Björk, just a couple songs actually, but it's real smooth music, great music to smoke to.
New Blonde Redhead should be good.

She hasn't dropped anything worth listening to at all since Selmasongs and hasn't dropped a truly good album since Homogenic.
