link?
lol @ you overdosing on Pitchforkmedia.
CYHSY are overrated but they're a decent band. I prefer 'em to Wolf Parade. Every band that's come out relatively recently has been overrated with the exception of TV on the Radio.

awwwwwww, hell no.

I know last year was a big year for the Canadian indie rock band but Wolf Parade don't do much for me. Found The Clap more interesting.

Just imagine Talking Heads minus the coolness and originality but an extra dose of hipster love.

not even, these are just some bands that i've always wanted to get around to listening to, but i don't feel like dropping cash. and unfortunately rock album links aren't as available as rap albums. but if you know of a forum where they are hook me up.
btw, that TV on the Radio sh1t is dope as hell

TV on the Radio are probably the best band out right now.
If you're looking for easy access for rock albums try: SoulSeek, Oink, or blogs. A blog I used to check regularly was http://www.regnyouth.com

Somebody here recommended this band to me. I copped Desperate Youth, Blood Thirsty Babes. Had some really good songs (like "Dreams" and "Don't Love You") on it, but I wasn't terribly impressed. Maybe the first song on it ("The Wrong Way") spoiled it for me. I'll have to listen again....

I had never heard of "CYHSY" before I entered this thread.
Now I search for that to see what the letters stand for.
"Clap Your Hands Say Yeah"? That's fukking stupid. Anyone who thinks that's cool needs to be drowned in all their stupid cds they own. You'd have to be really gullible to even want to touch some piece of art with those words on it. I mean, seriously. I don't need to hear any of their music to know how horrible they must be if they're the sort of people who would name themselves "Clap Your Hands Say Yeah" and could stand living under that name for more than ten seconds. These are the sort of people who should be sent to Iraq.
The only thing worse was that revolting "indepedent" band who performed on the MTV Awards the last year I watched it (2003 or 2004), where the lead singer crawled across the crowd to the stage while in a giant bubble. Dorky (white) guy with unwashed hair and glasses, slightly neurotic but "charmingly quirky"--as if that doesn't describe the lead singer of 99% of the worthless bands in the world. I purposely forgot what the name of the band was--for my own good--but it was something pretentious but also "irreverent" (the only adjective reverently dubbed superior to "quirky" by the hipster masses). Whatever it was, that was the only band name worse than "Clap Your Hands Say Yeah", and therefore that band was the only band worse than CYHSY.

Wow. You're quite possibly the wrongest you could be.
1) That band is one of the most critically acclaimed and well loved bands by music fans, true music fans: The Flaming Lips
2) They are not and do not have the image of an independant band, they are signed to Warners and have been for the better part of twenty years.
3) That is all.

Yoshimi and the newest one I can see, but The Soft Bulletin is genius.

clap your hands say yeah is wack as hell
I liked tv on the radio's first album just fine, but the second one, outside of two songs, didn't do anything for me.
