Look I personally love the new title to 50's album "Before I Self-Destruct" (Amazing title by the way.) but G-Unit is proving fast to be just a fad. I don't think 50 has the staying power of Jigga. "Hard Knock Life" was a once-in-a-lifetime single from a man who churns out hit single after hit single but that song was a song that was just a gigantic crossover song that he never really duplicated THAT level of success. "In Da Club" was 50's "Hard Knock Life" and that song was released damn near 4 years ago. To think that 50 can do the numbers that he did the first week on "The Massacre" or even "Get Rich or Die Trying", he would need a song of that level of popularity and ubiqutousness and 50 hasn't really made a song that popular since. Take Banks for example: Banks did numbers off 50's name and that's the ONLY real reason. Now look at his second album's numbers. A HUGE decline. Why? Cuz 50's popularity declined. There you have 50 Cent's current situation. Nobody respects his skills, only his numbers and the controversy. Problem is, he's run out of people to diss and now everyone sees through it.
