He's releasing 5 G-Unit books

50 Cent is set to launch his G-Unit Books imprint tomorrow (January 4) in New York.

The rapper, along with co-authors Nikki Turner and K.Elliot, will sign copies of the upcoming G-Unit books 'Death Before Dishonor', 'Baby Brother', 'Hood', 'Soldier 7' and 'The Ski Mask Way'.

50 Cent said: "Last year, my memoirs, 'From Pieces To Weight' marked the beginning. Now, I'm rounding up some of the top writers, same way I rounded up some of the top rappers in the game, to form G-Unit and take this series to the top of the literary world.

"The stories in the G-Unit (are) about our life on the streets and no on knows it better than us. Not to mention, when it comes to delivering authentic, gritty urban stories of the high and low life, our audience expects the best."

The event will take place at Borders Columbus Circle, reports Allhiphop.

Part of me wants to believe this will open the joys of reading to the illiterate, but part of me knows this will just lower the bar on what's considered literature.
