I was writing last night and something on my mind was how they showed coverage of Saddam's hanging. I thought that was kinda off, so I wanted to write about it. I produce music and I write a little, but this is the first time I've written in years. Let me know what you think.
I felt the need to write about Saddam,
they hung him for something similiar to genocide.
I ain't saying they were wrong,
but damn what's going on.
I was at a restaurant last night.
I looked up and Saddam was getting hung on television.
Something ain't right.
I felt like I was watching Al-Jazeera television,
but it was really an American vision.
Is this really what I'm seeing?
Americans believing, that this is right, damn Bush is deceiving.
I read reports later that Saddam mocked witnesses while still breathing
An image burnt in my mind of Hussein's eyes still gleaming.
I wouldn't be surprised if on Ebay they sold the noose from Hussein's neck
You know things tainted with blood tend to bring big checks.
Like photos of black folks being hung, yea, the KKK buy that.
The point of this is not that they killed the evil *****,
'cause we all know Saddam's rule would end like this.
It's the fact that the American news showed it for us to applaud this.
I thought this was a nation that no longer made lynchings a celebration.
They rushed execution so that Iraqis could have religious vacation.
You don't see them rushing U.S. withdrawal and troop evacuation.
I think that's the real celebration for this nation.
And it really wasn't all the U.S.'s fault,
most Iraqis wanted a piece of Saddam as soon as he got caught.
A tyrant leader and every leader has those that follow.
You don't have to be psychic to predict the U.S. Death Toll tomorrow.
And for every action there's a reaction
For Saddam's followers, death against a U.S. faction bring religious satisfaction.
