G.G. Allin- Never since the days of Alice Cooper was there a man who was nothing but shock value and no actual talent to back it up. the dude was all image, no matter what. The Murder Junkies were crap and G.G. Allin spewed it all while kids ate it up until he died.
But you have to respect a man's gangsta for geting doped up, cutting himself and throwing shiit on stage, and attempting to bring a gun and kill members of the audience then himself at his last show.
Fred Durst- A fukkin assclown. This dude was a bonafied media whore for the course of November of 1998 to December of 2000. Has the worst songwriting ability in the history of rock which got exposed hardcore when the hype machine behind Limp Bizkit started to die out. If anything, him and his band's rise to fame was all about dikkriding the laments and success of one band (KoRn) till the bitter end of their 15 minutes.
Basically, when you're the lead singer of a band, you can have fun, but the key to failure becoming the go of the group. Immediately, Durst became the face of Limp Bizkit, and everything else about the band (which wasn't impressive to begin with) fell with him.
To make a long story short, without a band, he's nothing.
Kurt Cobain- Alright, I know I'm going to get some shiit for this, but I'm going to say it. Kurt had no talent what so ever.
I said it. kurt had no talent whatsoever.
Sure, he could play a guitar without any teaching, but the difference between him and Hendrix is Hendrix could play more than three chords.
They made good music, don't get me wrong, but Kurt was generally uninspired and more in love with heroin than actually making serious music.
I respect the dude, but I hate to hear people make him out to be this astounding musical god. The dude and Nirvana came at the right place, at the right time.
