sometimes I have to
step outside myself
like a seein' eye dog
guide myself
ride myself
towards the path
paved for me
made for me
to be on
to be strong
like a brickwall
become that someone
you can lean on
like a geek
sneek a peak
at the road ahead
so that I can know
what to do instead
of trying to
cross the bridge
that is rickety
cause I'm pickey see
I only want the best
for you and me
sometimes I have
to take the fall
if I must I'd crawl
just to prove my point
and not disappoint
You in any kind of way
so you know that I'm not
only here but here to stay
stickin' round
'til da deed is done
no matter da outcome
that's where this is from

Nice, reminds me of a favorite quote - "To dream of the person you would like to be is to waste the person you are."

I like the way you tie it altogether ...

A blind person can give a wonderful description of the world around. I look no further than Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles for example. Not to wish blindness on anyone, many times the less that you have to see, the less there is to worry about. When I'm at the beach, for example, I like to close my eyes and listen cause it's a given that the view at the beach is beautiful. There is lot to be gained by reading and contemplating your work. What's funny is that the blind man doesn't know what the dog is seeing, it's a matter of trust and the dog is dope for being there in such a dependable manner. :)

Thanks, but I know you might not remember this when I first joined this site. I summoned up the courage and asked for suggestions and thanks to you, whoshotya and skater, I was pointed in the right direction, you suggested that I try to put some visualization in my pieces. So from time to time I hit the niche, appreciate the comments and I'm looking forward to some of your romanticizing joints. Happy New Year My Brother.
