I have heard from a number of doctors including my own that guys dont stop growing untill your 22. right now im 5'11 i wanna be 6'1 and im 19 i was also told that swimming and the amount of sleep you get will determine how tall you will be. Is there any truth to this? Is there any posiible way to try and make yourself taller? help a nicca out.

forget the pills, try something like this (http://www.sydneyprops.com.au/documents/images/00770_torture%20rack.jpg)?

:)

crazy how much they'll try and sell you on a product to make you taller, if you google it...

But since you're young, it seems like one thing you could do is be sure to be healthy (NO SMOKING!), do plenty of stretching and exercise and hope you get a late growth spurt.

eh... within the past 2 years or so, i was able to shed a few pounds and gain some muscle mass; that alone makes you look taller (but gauging from your avi, you're a very fit dude as it seems).

You 19, you got a good 2-3 years before your body fully consummates it's growth cycle.

When i was 19, i was a good 5-9 ish.

But i was a chubby 6 foot, 19 year old. Now i'm a husky, leaner 24 year old. Honestly, i thought that was it for me when i was 20. Gradually, i began working out more, shooting more hoop, repositioned my back so that my posture was better paralled with the sky and the ground; now i'm good (try not to slouch and walk with a ton of confidence, it makes you feel paramount and others will feed off that energy/aura as well).

But i wouldn't stress it too much my nug. You'll hit 6 for sure. And if you don't? Don't kick my ass; i'm just feeding you assurance and affirmation so that you could work to crafting the best you possible.

Plus, you don't want to be so tall, anything over six makes it a drag to do a ton of things; like get in and out of a vehicle (sitting in a coupe), kissing women (most girls i date are a good half a foot shorter than a playa); and crawling under small spaces when you're trying to shake off the five-oh.

PEACE!!

yoga, swimming(instead of running), inversion table, traction therapy.

Doing all those you'll get atleast 2 inches, 6 inches at most.

Up your protein intake.

Growth is regulated by something called Human Growth Hormone, protein is needed for your body to make it.

Cut down on simple carbs because they cause your body to create Insulin spikes, your body can only produce Insulin or HGH one at a time, more Insulin being created, less HGH your body is making.

Try to eat protein before bed, have some Chicken or Cottage Cheese before going to sleep, this way, your body will have fuel to break down and create extra HGH plus you will also recover from any exercise you did that day, plus it will also help put with Anabolism(muscle creation) and keep your body from going into catabolism(that's where your body needs fuel,so it will start breaking down muscle to use for fuel since muscle is the easiest for your body to break down).

Also, try to get in alot of exercise like the other dude said, sprinting has been shown to raise HGH levels alot.Always warm up then stretch to keep your joints healthy and to avoid injuries.

Alot of height is genetics, but taken extra measures can help your body recognize it's full potentials.

Oh yeah, try not to smoke, drink,do drugs, easier said than done right.

in addition to sprints, squats w/ a weighted barbell on your back has been known to raise HGH as well!

For dude who asked, inversion tables are tables where you hang upside down from. There really for back pain issues, but most people have seen a height increase, due to decompression of the spine.

(everyday you walk/stand on your feet, gravity compresses your spine)

Traction Therapy also helps decompress the spine, in ways that inversion tables cant. So its best to use both methods together.

In addition to the HGH information already posted

There is no real other way to increase height without surgery, and even that is extremely dangerous and may not leave good results. 5'11" is good height and nothing to be mad about. You still have 3-4 years left on top of that so you may be able to squeeze out another inch and change. I thought I was done growing at 18 because I was already 6'3" but I got measured two months ago and I'm now just over 6'4" at age 20. I doubt I'll grow any bigger and honestly I don't want to; I'm very happy with my current height.

Only thing you can do to help facilitate this potential growth is to clean up the diet, start taking a multi-vitamin, omega 3 fatty acids, increase protein intake, and STRETCH properly before workouts. Proper rest is also vital as you pointed out, you should be getting nothing less than 7-8 hours of sleep a night.

and FYI, you may notice that after long periods of rest and proper sleep you may seem taller upon waking. This is due to the relaxation of the vertebrae in your spine. In other words your spine decompresses and is elongated. After getting up and moving around though, the spine goes back to its normal state and you return to your actual height. Just thought it was something interesting to share :king:
