Seriously, I love that shiit!!!!!!

Nothing makes a show more better than pushing people around and then having 40 or so people get into it.

Honestly, I hate em. Maybe it's the all ages shows where kids think that they should mosh to everything. But, in general, I feel it's just super lame and annoying. People came to see a band perform not a bunch of sweaty jocks run shove eachother around.

I hate when people turn the show into a ****ing karaoke bar also. God, I hate shows.

exactly. lol @ someone paying $50 to thrash around like an idiot for an hour and 45 minutes.

I hate when people turn the show into a ****ing karaoke bar also.

Yeah, thats annoying as hell too. Especially when its a pretty "quiet" show, and you have one loudmouth idiot sitting by you the whole time.

I like the pit myself.

I hate people who go into the pit and complain about being bumped.

To add, I've been in some crqazy pits. Some involving 50 people or more, even getting on stage with 40 muhfuggahs wylin the hell out.

I've done backflips into crowds, mad stage dives, all that.

:gag:
Ill u be wildin. I never do the crowd surfing, stage diving, head stomping shyt. Never had the urge, and I don't think it's cool. I think it's a fan's way of trying to steal the performers' thunder. But whatever floats your boat. Do you ...

This is sort of my stance on pits at the moment. I mean basically, pits are aight, I just don't fukk with them like I used to.
Last few shows I've been to were cool cause it was real easy to get out of the pit if u didn't want to get squashed/push.
But there were also a lot of fights last show I saw. Security kept it pretty cool. It was Sepultura, but there were lil scuffles during Diecast's set. I'm usually one of the people trying to stop fights. I need to stop cause I really shouldn't care, no point getting into other peoples' shyt.

Mosh pits are gay. Jumping up and down is cool but running around shoving people just pisses everyone off who's not participating.

if the band is popular enough, there is no pit, just a sea of people, you can barely move or breathe, i was in one of those a while back at bicardi live, and all i could do was shove with my left and throw horns with my right

depends on the show really...

i mean.. at incubus.. if someone starts a pit, i'm taking people out of the show.

however if it's unearth? blood brothers? i'm the first one to jump in.. i've had too much fun in pits.. the rush of blood from your nose or someone elses is just the perfect way to celebrate a dope show

If you're at a hardcore or a metal show.. sure they're to be expected. But I'm not sure they belong anywhere else. It's just silly. People starting pits to Brand New? I thought the pit at the last Brood Brothers show I went to was obnoxious and uncessary. But maybe I'm just bitter and old and tired of all ages shows.

I mean it's your life, u do whatever for fun, but that's the corny part about these fans in the pit. What does blood have to do with dancing? It's a dance not a fight. And why do people dance during solos? That's when u especially need to be watchign the performers.

Exactly! Smashing Pumpkins addressed this years ago. When Moshing got on mtv, that's when it became played out. It's basically something for the young though. I remember when I saw Sepultura and these 40 yeard old biker dudes joined the pit, that shyt died out immediately. I think the entire crowd colelctively felt tired after seeing those older dudes "getting live". They drained out all the energy ahhah.

I mean I stay in the pits, but I admit they are corny a lot of times. And I have to be really into the music or the crowd to dance.

Anybody been to a show where the pit is pretty much a fight? I've never experienced them, but I hear stories. What kind of nonsense is that when mutha****as are straight up in there to punch faces? Where I'm from, that's not fun. That's beef.
Me and my boy actually heard this group of NJ hicks planning on punching people in their faces at a Ill Nino show I went to. haha. they got wrecked in the pit though. They didn't know what they were doing.

Most of the time it's "controlled aggression", but sometimes it gets a little rougher. I saw Body Count (aah, the good ol Copkiller days) four months ago and it was no joke. Got a couple of minor injuries but I was drunk and didn't give a **** lol

That's what I used to love about them, "controlled aggression". Great way to let off steam, it's why there were no fights at the club I used to go too, all of the agro was let out there.

But people throwing punches etc . . . . that's not on. I remember someone tried that and got taken out quick as fukk.

There are rules to the pit.

The last Slayer show I was at was pretty much like a full scale prison riot. I've never seen so many people get hurt in one place before.

that reminds me of all straight edge goons starting **** up for the fukk of it.

there was this one crew that would honestly stab the shiit out of people in the pit with screwdrivers...and guess what? They were straight edge!

Moshing is fun as hell, if it's the right music, like some Hardcore/Metal. What I don't like is when people start pushing females and people who clearly don't want to mosh. Or dumb cats that will mosh to anything...muh ****as trying to mosh to Zero 7.

Well that doesn't sound like fun. I'll pass on that. But it makes sense, these kids don't smoke or drink, and they probably despise people who do.
Lol@zero 7 & mosh pits. Mainly cause I don't know who they are, but also, I'm sure they shouldn't be having pits like u said.

True.

Has anybody ever fukked with the Wall of Death? it's when the audience forms two huge ass masses of people facing each other with about 10 feet in between the two sides, and as soon as the song starts....both sides just collide at full speed.

When done with a crowd of about 3,000....it's unfukkinbelievable.

Lamb of God does this a lot. As does this other punk group from Chicago (or was it Detroit?) that I saw at Warped Tour one in 2002. Warped tour is pretty awful btw. Hahaha. Not my kind of music I guess.

What kind of zombie, sausage party is this? Hahaha. I sort of like this music. It's mostly, ska/punkish but has some kind of metal/hardcore elements. actually, it's the only punk/ska i can fukk with.

I don't understand why someone threw chairs in the pit. At least this was safe. I've seen this one vid of those angry Boston moshers, and some dude was swinging a chair around like crazy.

Same band, same song, but this time they have nyggas throwing boulders, ladders, and tables into the pit during the breakdown.
Is this the band's gimmick? It's all fun and games til someone gets hurt.

A few years back, someone got killed in a Candiria pit. And that's fukked up since Candiria is one of those bands that's always speaking out against assholes in the pit just hitting on everyone smaller than them.

That song is pretty funny. I didn't get it at first because the instruments sounded really good, but the lyrics are real funny. It's sort of fukked up what he says says during the "mosh pit" part. Now I feel real silly for ever going crazy in a pit. But it's exactly why I don't like them anymore.
