Yeah. They put on a pretty decent show. Better then some of the other canadian indie bands (*cough* broken social scene *cough*)
I prefer Stars to Metric.

I like B.S.S.'s albums alot, just I have yet to see them pull off a decent live performance, and I've seen them a couple of times.

I haven't had the chance to see Broken Social Scene live but it seems, based on their records, that their sound would be something difficult to translate to a live setting.
I always got the impression that there was a lot of heaving production involved in the recroding process for 'em.
You'd think though with the twenty members they'd come up with something decent live.

Ehhh as far as records go Us Kids Know EP, Funeral, the Self-Titled, the release with David Bowie, the B-Sides record.. I don't know if they're better than the new BSS record let alone the older ones. I guess an argument could be made for Funeral.
broken social scene are okay, but they got reaaaaally played out here. one of those sounds that my ears delight in, when in moderation, but the amount of college radio time they got was sickening.
never saw them live, but I agree with Clem - sounded like heavy production, plus 39 members trying producing noise in a small and intimate club might made it just....well, noise.

bss was good at coachella 2004.
i haven't seen them since, but i don't think when they tour they have all the members that play music on the albums.
I prefer Stars to Metric.
Yes.
But Live it Out was/is great... i think Metric may get too "constructed," though. Sort of like Interpol in way? If that makes sense.

I think I know what you mean, and I think I feel the same way about the Yeah Yeah Yeah's.

I can see that on Show Your Bones, but i think Date With the Night was so good because it was the opposite of constructed. Metric gets a little presumably orchestrated at times. AT TIMES, again. I think maybe it's their lead guitarist laming it out... but my GOD that drummer f*cking kills it.

wow, i saw them at the house of blues in cleveland 2 weeks ago and i thought they were really good. given that it was the 2nd to last stop on their tour (and their 2nd to last concert ever) they were pretty well rehearsed byt that time. ive also read alot of other good reviews of their preformances.
their live version of major label debut was amazing
