“PLANET B-BOY” VIDEO CONTEST
PLANET B-BOY is a film about b-boys and b-girls around the world. Here’s your chance to represent on the big screen.
We want your video footage showing just how far and wide b-boying has spread. The winners will appear in our movie alongside our featured crews from Japan, France, the US and Korea, or may appear as video alongside the end credits.
FILMING HINTS:
We’re looking for “landmark” shots from all corners of the globe where we weren’t able to get to but wished we could. Check our PLANET B-BOY trailers on youtube for examples.

Be creative and think about what spots your country is famous for – there are obvious ones we’d love like the Great Wall in China, the pyramids in Egypt, the Australian Outback, but we’re open to anything that visually reflects the place. The main goal is to show diversity and b-boys from all over.
Steady tripod shots are preferred. Shots should be framed so that we can clearly see both the dancer(s) and the background.
If chosen, there are some legal requirements, so you should think about these before filming:<br>
- You will have to sign a release saying you own all rights to the footage. This also means you are guaranteeing that you have permission from everyone who appears in the footage. Same goes for locations – wherever you are filming, if it is recognizable on camera, the owner of the location has to agree to let you film there.
HOW TO ENTER:
1) Go out and shoot your video! Technical requirements: widescreen format (aspect ratio 16:9). Tripod or steady shots preferred. NTSC tape format preferred but not required.
2) Upload the clip you want us to review online.
3) Email us the link to your video, along with your full name and email address to
myvideo@planetbboy.com
4) If you’re one of the winners, we’ll ask for a copy of your master and your signed release.
5) Deadline for submission: December 1, 2006.
