I see beyond the pictures he captures with his lenses...
I see his passion to snap the right angle without disturbing human nature...
I'm taken to that exact spot where the flash caught that old lady stuggling off the train...
I stand in awe of the way he caught that sad look on her face...
I see beyond the words on the page....
This is more than just rap music...
More than just words bonded together by silent s'es....
More than just 16 bars or cyphers where he keeps going cause he loves a challenge...
Bigger than Nas. Pac and Jay combined...
I see his journey through this life - his fight to find himself through the madness of coming of age...
I can see his vision - his need to escape life ills and just walk among the Kings that lived before him...
I can see beyond his drawings of abstract creatures...
Who save the world from the devil and villians...
There's a hero inside of all of us, he says to me...
I can understand why he painted the sky black but the dawn of a new day he left blank...
You paint the world with your passion to make it better, he tells me
I want to aspire to make art out of everything I touch...
He even causes my body to create musical symphonies with just one touch...
Now I'm chasing what he's chasing....
Digging deep into my own creativity...
I'm capturing the simple on film trying to create my own interpetation...
I'm writing words to express these mental images....
You see one star I see thousands....
I'll leave the drawing alone - my version of man hasn't gone beyond stick figures...
But he's charged me to think outside the box....
To stop holding on to these gifts I've been blessed with...
