Simple, just throw up a band you think everyone should be listening to, but isnt.

Links are appreciated, but not necessary. Describe em a little bit if you think you should. No bashing allowed.

I'll start:
Every Time I Die. Metal/hardcore

Here's their 2005 album, Gutter Phenomenon:

Fugazi. One of the greatest post-punk outfits of the 20th century. features Ian McKaye of Minor Threat, and members of Rites of Spring and Nation of Ulysses.

If you don't know, now you do. "Red Medicine" is possibly their most complete work.

My friend's band actually opened up for them last year.

Tropicalia:

Not really a band but more a movement. Its a collection of bands who came up in brazil in the 60s and made this incredible brazilian revolutionary, political rock music. They mix samba with 60s psychedelia and american pop. Shiit has to be heard to be believed.

Check out the compilation: "Tropicalia: A Brazilian Revolution in Sound"

I don't want to be "that guy" but Hot Damn! was a much better record.

Hmm...definitely a valid opinion. Hard for me to decide which album I'm feeling more, but I could see how people wouldnt be feeling GP as much since they were going for more of an "accessible" sound.

New Trivium album is lots of fun. Last album was a little cynical but very good (more metalcore than straight metal). First album is good. Get Trivium.
