According to some Calorie Calculators I need to drop my calorie intake to 2300.
I'm going to drop that to 2000 Calories.
Now questions is, can i eat whatever I want keeping it below 2000 Calories and be good? I don't want to eat a horses diet and I don't really want to measure my cereal by the serving to be all exact with the calories per serving.
Basically, I want to be able to eat like a normal person and lose weight or turn my current fat to muscle. I don't want to lose weight just to put it back quickly in the future.
I'm going to cut my alcohol intake to a zilch, only going to drink on special occasions cause I've been out of hand wit the liqa on weekends. Friday, Saturday, Sunday.. Hard Rum, I mean I was drinking bottles every weekend to myself.
I'm 215 and with my normal eating habits I don't gain anymore weight.
If I stop drinking and start exercising, and watch not to overdo my meals, can I lose weight and still eat like I a normal person? I don't want to be scurred to say yes to when someone asks me to eat out.

theoretically you can eat whatever you staying want and lose wieght by staying at your 2000 calories... however its better to eat healthier foods so ucan eat more.... if u eat some mcdonalds thats 1000 calories right there....
another option wud be to workout... if u burn 500 calories a day u will be able to eat 2500 and stay at your goal 2000 calories

good looking out, been waiting days for a response
i wonder how much calories a bottle a liter of Rum has.
Cause I think if i just cut my alcohol consumption to 0 I'd be cutting down massive amounts of calories per week.
I normally drink a liter or 2 of rum during the weekend..

Theres around 2000 calories in a litre of rum . . . if you drink it straight.
Obviously mixers have calories too.

yeah, alcohol is a killer calorie/diet-wise. and it's not JUST the empty calories, it's what it causes your body to do (or stop doing) in terms of being able to work optimally to burn off calories, fat, metabolize food quickly, etc.
the lowest calorie cocktail that i am aware of is a vodka and water. it's like 65 calories. if you get a _____ & soda, or a _____ & tonic, diet sodas & tonics are available. beers are the worst.. but now they make all kinds of low carb and low cal beers.. i've heard they pretty much suck though, but i dunno.. and wine isn't good either.. although merlot/red wine is the lowest in sugar and carbs.. my roommate is on the south beach diet, so i know these things..

LOL that is ridiculous...if you're serious with the amount, that alone has more calories than you should consume in a day. You could start by just cutting that out alone w/o changing anything else in your diet and you'd see good results.

hope so, so far i got 10 days without drinking an ounce. I'm going to stay sober this weekend as well. Trying to revive my metabolism.

well i just bought a scale, it seems with my new lifestyle I lost 6 lbs. to 8 lbs. in a matter of 2 weeks. I have to weigh myself at work though to confirm since thats where I initially weighed myself.
But if this is true I think im dying... Read that it was unhealthy to lose more than 2 pounds per week.

it really is, because you're most likely losing muscle mass as opposed to fat.

well could be the 4000 calories of liqa a week im not consuming and the 4 mile walks im doing every other day with strength training in between, and the breakfast ive started to eat everyday :king:
does anyone know how many calories us humans burn just from being alive? i mean without taking into account the walking and/or exercise? just from breathing, blood flow, organs going etc.
basically if you lay in bed all day long.
