im tryin to grow. Plain and simple. Im 5'10-11'' and 160 lbs., and im atleast tryin to get to a solid 175-180. But, i dont know how to go about it... well, from readin i know abouut eating and cardio for your system, and i get plenty of cardio so thats not the prolem. As far as eating, what types of foods are easy to stick with???? (i.e. examples as in specific foods, snacks, etc.). Also, what type of weightlifting should i do in conjunction with???
Holla at me.
Theres alot of good threads with advice, just need to search a little. Protein, light carb and moderate fat intake is a start. Lean red meat, fish and chicken is the best. Protein can be consumed through almonds and beef jerky too (for snacks). Keep it balanced on the diet tip and lift hard and heavy. Cardio is not that important. Eat big and lift heavy every day. Try muscle milk as a suplement ( I currently use it and like it). Work different muscle groups every day. For work out routines go to bodybuilding.com and for supplements try gnc.com./......I got all this advice from the muscle heads on this site, they wiil probaly follow up with more details.

this is pretty simple. eat more calories than your body burns each day.
go here: http://www.caloriesperhour.com/index_burn.html
and click the BMR & RMR calculator.
once you know how many calories you're burning, start counting what you eat and just focus on keeping your consumed calories a few hundred higher than your daily needs. you want to eat foods that are high in protein, which you should be able to google. a good ratio is about 60/40/10 for carbs, protein and fat. maybe a bit more protein. don't forget that when you do cardio you burn calories that you need to get bigger. i'd go light on it if i were you.
also, LIFT HEAVY. shoot for low reps. do pyramid sets with reps of 8/6/4. doing high reps will not get you bigger. when you've gotten to a weight you're comfortable with, up your reps to tone up.

Actually high reps can get you bigger. I am proof of this, I did a GVT training program which is basically 10x10 on compunds and it blew me up. It resulted in sarcoplasmic hypertrophy, but didn't do much for strength. That's why I cycled it for 4 weeks then went with a heavy 5x5 for 6 weeks.
Homie, just go off and eat. Don't be afraid of a little fat gain. It can come off during a cut. As a matter of fact if you got some guts. Find a solid workout program, I personally recommend Rippetoes Starting Strength or something like Westside For Skinny Bastards. Then eat alot of food, i'm talm bout eating until you feel full all the time on clean foods such as chicken breast, lean ground beef, oatmeal, fruit, and skim milk. Do that for 3 months and see the results.:king:
