M1 of DeadPrez, Chace Infinite & DJ Khalil (Self Scientific) and ISWHAT?! come together for a summit addressing the need to seek knowledge, beginning with understanding ourselves. Each artist will speak briefly about their background, what they are doing and how they got where they are. The attendees will then have an opportunity to interact with, ask questions of and get advice from the panelists. The discussion segment of the summit will end with anecdotes from the artists on how to create your own curriculum, citing examples of using ones interests to gain life skills. Seven Elementz participants selected by the Elementz administrative staff will have the opportunity to perform for the panel provided they attended the summit in its entirety.

M1:
a.k.a. Mutulu Olugabala is evidence of the resurgence of political action in the Afrikan (Black) community. As one of half of the fully automatic rap duo dead prez, M1 and his partner stic.man have been hitting hard with albums like "Let's Get Free," "Turn Off the Radio vol1," "Turn Off the Radio volume 2: Get Free or Die Trying," and "RGB: Revolutionary But Gangsta." He also organized and became the local president of the Brooklyn Chapter of the National Peoples Democratic Uhuru Movement and the Malcolm X Grassroots Movement. In addition, Olugabala has worked with Friends and Family of Mumia-Abu Jamal, the Hands Off Assata organization, and participates in the annual Black August Celebration. M1 and dead prez have been featured in The Source, Vibe, XXL, Stress, Murder Dog, Blaze, The Village Voice and more for their music and work in the struggle.
Self Scientific:
DJ Muggs of Cypress Hill and hip-hop duo Self-Scientific have joined forces to form their own imprint, Angeles Records, with Fontana Distribution, the independent distribution division of Universal Music Group (UMG). Under the new deal, they are preparing two initial releases. One will be a collaboration album between Muggs and Wu Tang Clan's GZA called DJ Muggs vs. GZA, while Self-Scientific are planning their next LP titled Change.

After the release of their debut album You Figure It Out, Napoleon Maddox and Jack Walker hit the road like ghetto prophets, spreading their re-conceptualized vision of their individual generations' musical languages: jazz and hip-hop. Over the course of those 200-plus shows in the U.S. and Europe, ISWHAT?! played to sold out audiences with the likes of KRS-One, Sound Tribe Sector Nine, Saul Williams and Maktub to name but a few.
