Any song w/ a nice "industrial" beat i've found has worked for me. I'll drop a pre-emptive no-homo on the songs I'm about to list, but hell, they work (the beats remind me of relentless machines...helps me not think about the pain):

Justin Timberlake- My Love
Cassie- Me & You
Diddy- Come With Me
Ashanti- Only You
Aaliyah- Are You that Somebody
The Roots- In the Music

Caramella

C/S 100%. This song has been on my playlist since the song was released. It definitely helps keep my energy up.

Other songs that keep me amped include 'Sexy Back' by Justin Timberlake and 'If' by Janet Jackson.

the chicken noodle soup dance is long (8:15) and the dance is a nice little warm up... truthfully i couldn't even do the shimmy for the whole 8 minutes...

*keeps abs tight while doing CNS shimmy*
*gets tired after 4 minutes*

walking on the treadmill...
Sean Paul "Temperature"
Dropkick Murphys "Shippin up to Boston" (i heard it in the Departed and liked the beat)
and when i'm punching my punching bag...
Kelis "Caught Out There"
Lil Jon/Trillville/Lil Scrappy "Get on my Level"

Mister Discotheque

Repetitive heavy stuff usually works for me.

Queens of the stone age-go with the flow, first it giveth, noone knows, little sister.

The strokes- heart in a cage.

System of a down- war.

I sometimes listen to atliens too. No particular tracks.

Moody blues- forever autumn to relax afterwards

I bump DnB, '95-era Queens rap and some big beat during my workouts.

Workout music has been a passion of mine for years, I'm still trying to create the perfect mix...

I never need music to get hype for working out. But I need music to help me run and take my mind off the time. I listen to whatever song I feel like hearing..

i got a new fav.....the theme song to the "terminator". between that, linkin park's "numb" and "welcome to the jungle" i will have to drop from exhaustion before giving up on reps or a run because "i'm tired". those songs just keep me amped during my whole workout.

I like to listen to upbeat songs that have been singles and have featured a lot of dancing in their video's that I remember from seeing the video's a million times. That way I picture the dancing in my head as the song plays. It takes my mind of the pain and keeps me from thinking about how tedious cardio is. Thats why I listen to a lot of Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson and Britney Spears when I work out.

For me its not so much about getting pumped up. Its about me not thinking about how long I have to go while doing cardio. It also keeps my mind off the pain. I like to stay daydreaming about other stuff.
