20lbs. I want to get down to 125-130 ish. I'm 5'3. I think my body look well proportioned at 140 lbs because I'm bigger up top but seeing that I will be back in Chicago for the holiday and going back for Christmas. I figure I can lose the extra weight now because I know I'll gain some back during that time.
This is what I'm doing so far.
Diet
Breakfast-bowl of honey nut cheerios w/whole milk (I can't stand the taste of slim milk)
Snack-Banana
Lunch-Turkey on whole wheat/mustard & another banana
Dinner-some type of veggie ( peas, grean beans or turnip greens) & either fish or chicken (never deep frying)
Excerise
I get on my bike every day or at least 5-6 times a week for 30 mins or more w/my sauna suit on.
I have some 5lbs weights and I work my abs with those.
I normally walk but its still in the 100's here so I will start back at the end of this month. I was walking 2-3 times a week for about 1hr (2 miles).
Any other suggestions?

1% of your total body weight per week is the general rule of thumb. So if you weigh 140 I don't think it is safe or feasible to lose 20 pounds in a 2 month period.
I would eat a whole grain cereal with a milk alternative. Are you eating fish/chicken everyday? I recommend eating vegetarian a few days a week.
Biking sounds good. Just make sure your intensity is high. The more you push yourself, the greater you'll look.

Well something is wrong with my bike, its electrical and the intensity button is shorting out on me and I don't know how to make the resistance level higher manually. It goes up to 10 but its stuck on 2 right now.
Actually last night I only ate some turnip greens no meat but I did have my turkey sandwich for lunch. If I can't drink skim milk I doubt I'll be able to allow myself to do the milk alternative. Maybe I'll see how 2% tastes.
Thanks though, I do the veggie thing on the weekends at least.

As far as liquids on your diet, try and drink more water than anything else. For example 60%-80% of your daily liquid intake should be water and the rest, low sugar drinks, non carbonated would be ideal. And of course (low fat) milk, it doesn't have to be skim milk. remember one simple thing, eat more carb type foods(as much as protein or more) during the day for energy purposes and at night consume more protein rich foods than carbs. high consumption of carbs at night tend to be stored as fat in our bodies. So be a bit more aware of this tip.
For cardiovascular activity do a HIIT style cardio workout. For example, if you're using the stationary bike or treadmeal, for every 2 to 3 minutes ride or walk/run as fast as possible and then slow the pace down for a minute or two and then up the pace again(for 2 mins) and so on. Do this for 20 minutes, its a really good (progressive) way of burning calories. give that a try.
i lost 23 pounds in 2 months diet played more of a role than exercise but i workout every weekday for an hour and a half weight lifting three days and cardio three days one of the 5 is both on the same day. strict diet too

Help me out here: what are carb type foods? Give some suggestions of things I can make at home and bring to work that would be considered carbs?
And for dinner besides chicken, what are some other good protein things I can make?
I need to get my bike looked at but I can defintely find some stairs somewhere to job up and down.

I've been eating whiting, catfish and perch for the past week or so. I got kinda burnt out so I got some tuna & salmon packs. I'm going to eat those w/ some greens for dinner this weekend.

do you like tilapia? it's really mild. tilapia, salmon, halibut... those are my favorites.
you can get those tiny frozen salad shrimps in small bags for a decent price and hook up some good shrimp salad if you get tired of tuna salad. they sell canned shrimp too, but i've never tried it.

North Phoenix, right on the edge of Phoenix and Scottsdale. I wasn't aware you lived here. I'll do walks...I not a fan of jogging but I'll hit some stairs though. My chest is kinda on the big side and sports bra or not it uncomfortable jogging.

I have a friend who has a similar problem...she says she wears 2 sports bras on top of each other and that seems to lock em down pretty good...idk...
Even if you're just walking though, thats good too...still nice to do in the evening this time of year before it gets too chilly, especially if you live in a nicer area like it sounds. Just like running, when you go for walks try to do intervals of 100% as fast as you can go and then slowing it down, alternating...helps burn fat more effectively.
