That could be said of some rock albums...quite a lot actually...but The Joshua Tree?
That's like saying "No Rock album will ever have a social impact of say Jewel of the Nile by Nice and Smooth."
And the first few PE albums had easily as big an effect on PEOPLE and SOCIETY as Joshua Tree.

And people will talk about the Beatles all they want, but the music was secondary but influential. Obviously, society and it's tendencies towards change came into effect in it's collective mind way before they heard of the Beatles.

THE JOSHUA TREE was a classic "5 Mic" album and sold a boatload of copies but there's no question that Public Enemy's first albums and STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON had just about as big and important a social & cultural impact in America & Worldwide as any popular music has ever.

I feel u..it did alot for its culture...but that didnt apply to everyone..Hip Hop has had music that was equaly as important to its movement and listeners
