186 million dollars was spent to repair the Superdome did you know this?
while countless from New Orleans are either dead or are still homeless.
I sure am glad that America still has it's priorities straight
funny part is we question why we're the ones they love to hate
by the by the Saints are 3-0 now ain't that just great
after all which is more important the people or the football team?
we all know that being a black quaterback is the American dream
you may not have eaten for days or have a place to kick it
but nothin' you need better than a monday night game ticket
seems like good ole Americana is going down the crapper
now who is gonna be my role model an Athlete or a Rapper?
money than the power and being poor means none of the above
people treat you funny when you got no money, you be gettin' no love
the elderly on roof tops kids floating on logs
what's that getting off airplanes cats and dogs
but it's a good thang they repaired the superdome
mean why waste that cash rebuilding peoples homes
now this is just an observation from a skeptic's heart
for football is as beautiful a plate of fried chicken w/mild sauce
so read between the lines and you will find what's true
