Seriously....
I just started to get into a 'new edition' kick again after hearing G-units cover of "hot 2 nite"
I mean...New Edition just brings fond memories of the roller skating rink when I was kid....but yea, they are the best r&B group that ever came out in the state of hip hop, like R&B groups now don't make music no more like
A Little Bit of Love
Hot 2 Nite
Tender Roni etc etc
Oh yea
this g-unit remix of hot 2 nite > the version with game and fabolous and all them

you are so UNENLIGHTENED in regards to the history of black music..
MAZE is probally the greatest R&B group of all time in regards to consistency, performance and quality of work.

I think of New Edition as an R&B version of Wu Tang Clan. All members had SERIOUS talent.
Bobby Brown, Ralph Tresvant, Johnny Gill, BBD all made CLASSICS on their own. 1983-1997 they were relevant. Not the greatest, but definate Hall of Famers

True, except Ralph enjoyed better success in the group.
Boyz II Men sh*ts on New Edition.
Get the fukk outta here. Boyz II Men was good, but N.E.(along with their inspiration the Jackson 5) is the reason these boy bands are here today. Maurice Starr the same dude that started N.E. started New Kids On The Block. Michael Bivins(N.E.) brought out Boyz II Men. N'Sync, B5, Backstreet Boys, Immature, B2K and more were the byproduct of the greatest group ever.
P.S.- The concert at Chastain Park was off the chain. Bobby came out too.

mannnnnnnnn dude probably grew up in the mid to late 80's bro get off your high horse for 2 seconds, stop tryin to be a professor all the time
with that said, "before I let go" is the greatest old school party track of all time.
But if u are in your late 20s "can u stand the rain" might be the best slow jam of all time too

All time you gotta start with The Temptations, Earth, Wind, and Fire, and in terms of consistency, The Isley Brothers, who are the only act in history to have no. 1 records in 5 decades..
Last 20 years, you gotta go with Toni Tony Tone, Guy, Jodeci, and then maybe you can get to New Edition. Too much of their best stuff was outside of the group.

OMG I love Maze as an old school group but I truly love NE as a group for my generation.
