kisses weren't enough
so she offered all of
her pristine love
taking for granted my..her..our maturity
or lack thereof
treated me like the man
I thought I was
let me in her secret garden
I spread petals
and
scattered rosebuds
her love was
better
than rainfall in the Sahara
but tomorrow
always comes
and reality hits like a brick
should have......abbreviated
our playing so she
would have had her period
but I suck at grammar
so I continued to hammer
away
at the walls of our crumbling childhood
fate got our asses GOOD
"careless youth rocketing into the past in..
9..8..7..6..5..4..3..2....SON"
and at last I understood
the price of manishness
could be manhood
but the smile in those divine
new eyes
makes me proud to have accepted the price
when a newborn woman
held out a newborn son
and she said "I treated you like a man..
..now I dare you to be one...
go or stay?"
