I think with the Cassie fiascos, Timbaland doing so much with Nelly Furtado and Justin Timberlake, Ne-yo and his little exploits, a lot of people are focusing their r and B/pop mental capacities somewhere else. Also, Danity Kane shocked alot of people with those high first week sells. There's so much going on in that genre.
