i ran into a guy @ my school thats selling one in mint condition for $300.....
he said he doesn't have time to use it......
now my question is does it work?....can you really get in shape with it?....
i need feedback ya'll...thanks in advance.....
Ehhh, used it a few times and wasn't impressed. The Bowflex is very limited despite all the stuff its supposed to let you do, and your body will become way too accustomed to it after just a few weeks. Bowflex is fine for the housewife or business man trying to stay in some sort of shape due to lack of time in the gym, but in the end nothing beats a gym.
Your better off investing those $300 in a interchangeable dumbbell set, decent amount of weights, and a basic bench.
Just don't expect to see any noticeable gains from using it; those people they use in their commercials got their physique through free weights and a real gym.

been saying that for years. It's like the politicians getting real scientists and paying to say that climate change is bull**** so that people can buy into that fallacy.

False on both accounts. of course those people on teh commercials didn't bulk up usinmg that machine as it's pretty new, but to say one can't bulk up like that is crazy. Not eerybody who goes to the gym is gonna get that body either.

So true. 98% of peeps in the gym arent really even in shape, that includes me...for all the years I been working out I should be ripped, but its the lack of diet that fails everyone. Im actualy keeping straight diet wise now. Been 2 weeks no cheating.

That's a given, nothing is guaranteed when it comes to this. I just know from personal experience and others who have used it, that it just doesn't live up to the hype. Someone JUST starting out will notice some gains if they commit to the Blowfex and eat right, but the cat that's been lifting for years in the gym will probably regret paying that much money for it.

Actually Ive always been the one hitting the gym, and about a year and a half ago my cousin got a bowflex. He's a monster now and he credits it all to that, he doesnt even have a gym where he lives.. Hes not exactly ripped but his size has changed dramatically

I goto powerhouse gym, some real gorillas in there and Mr Olympia competitor Ahmed Haidar http://www.johnseif.com/images/ahmed.jpg , works there as a trainer and teaches ab class. Like you said its the eating right part. Well I been dieting for 3 weeks and running also, so Im looking alot better. I wasnt really our of shape, I just wasnt where I wanted to be, but I was looking better than 90% of society even at my worst.
Most peeps in the gym lift weights and eat pizza, junkfood and whatever else so they really dont get too far in terms of accomplishing their fitness goals of having a 6 pack and being ripped like everyone wants.
Yeah I had my sloppy phase, but Im past it, so Im sticking to no cheating for another week, then Ill add a cheat day once a week.
free weights are better IMO.
I say this...a guy I know bought one lets say in December...an I haven't seen him in person since last Oct...but then he ws like 125lbs nothin...He uses a picture of himself now as his yahoo avator...Dude is like 160lbs and cut the fukk up... but he is religous about his routine 1-2 every night.
