I'm looking to put together a training plan. I've ran some smaller timed runs (5m-8m) & am planning on doing a half-marathon this year & hopefully a full marathon next year. Any advice would be appreciated.

You should locate this book: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1570281823/002-1032566-8595224?v=glance&n=283155
I finished it a few months ago and found it insightful. I haven't put it to work though, perhaps someday.
Your public library should carry it. Jeff Galloway has written some good marathon books, including a half-marathon training guide.

nah never trained for a run. i'm a terrible runner. but i've trained for cycle\bike races...which is a lot different ...but same basic concept. ritzy posted some dope sites.
one thing though.....the year's almost over hun and it usually takes at least 4-6 months to get in top competition form. when is this half marathon scheduled for?
