I never gave this album too many good listens. Today I finally thought, "Alright, I'm going to free up 100MB or so and get rid of this, but I'll give it one more chance."

The result is that I feel like all of the access to mp3s in the last few years have really dulled my senses. For real, Exit Planet Dust is possibly my favorite album ever, and that one and the next two of their albums I basically know by heart, beat by beat and noise by noise. The Chems never ****ing fell off at all (except their first album is still their best, and Surrender is a BIT weak), but damn that's just my perception of it because I've had less and less time to listen to their music. I need to ****ing cut myself off and listen to albums that I think are just barely "good", because upon replay great artists' albums go from 3.5/5 to 4.25/5.

"Hold Tight London" =

People (myself included) don't realize how The Chemical Brothers actually challenge DJ Shadow for g.o.a.t. of the "electronica" genre (I know that labeling is problematic, but let's not go into that now). It's just that over the last 10 years we only have a few cds worth of Shadow material, so we all know him better and rate him higher, whereas the Chems have put out a disc every other year.
