How can I sync it up with my MPC 200XL?

Blue box.. i have it somewhere.. its some french program that lets you create mpc programs and samples on your pc and transfer the whole thing to mpc.. so u dont have to put the program together again on the mpc

You can sync your G5 to your MPC but you'll need an audio interface like an Mbox or something. After that, just use your DAW of choice (Logic, Pro Tools, Cubase etc.) , midi time code or midi clock EM and your good.

Really, there's tons of different software so it would depend on what you'll be using and what you'll be using it FOR.

I got an M Box with Pro Tools, but when I record my mpc into it it comes out gritty and lower quality than it should, I've been trying different techniques but no luck so far

I'm trying to get as high of a quality as possible from my MPC to the computer

And on a side note, does anyone have a tutorial with setting up a windown and Mac computer on a network? Transferring all of my files would be a ***** to do with just an external hard drive

I suggest you at least double that...at least.

I would recommend 2Gig's and up though. You can never have enough ram when you are working on producing music.
