My friend is on NS. They're not really healthy, the sodium content is very high. Its just portion control you would be better off eating those chef boyardee little cannister (they're cheaper).

I agree. Lean Cuisine and the like are probably the same nutritionally, and you'd save money. I think when I looked into it there was also some sort of instant oatmeal for breakfast.

if you like eating like an astronaut in outer space then Nutrisystem is for you. my mom did it. it's all freeze dried chicken breast that looks like cardboard..... hamburger patties that you soak in hot water to revive and sh*t. straight jetsons food. YECK.

it'll def. be a waste of money..
and it just doesn't seem kosher... all kinds of meat that can sit around outside. ew.

but uhm.. they're not tasty, they're def not filling.. and you'll probably cheat.. do whatever everyone else said and get weight watchers meals.

Stay away from that stuff. Invest some time every week into food prep for that week. I knew a few people who tried it and hated it. Nothing beats the food you buy and prepare yourself, especially when dieting.

It doesn't teach you to eat healthier, if you stop using the service, you are going to gain that weight back unless you change your eating/cooking habits.

Also, it's stuff that can be stored around without being refridgerated. You may lose weight because of the portion control and combos, but stuff that can just hang around without going bad canNOT be that good or digestible for you.

I would suggest that you actually get with a nutritionist, get some low fat cookbooks and create a permanent change. If you want online recipe places for ethnic food (african, Thai, Indian and Mexican) let me know. I use these sites almost every day and have learned to replace white with wheat, bake instead of fry, etc.

Anything is better than fried! But I agree with everything you said. If they want to eat healthy all they have to do is follow the diet of a diabetic. But they can still eat their fruits though.
