OMG it was horrible i know 106 and Park ain't shyt, but today it reached a new low...Cassie would have been better off lipsyncing, i swear this was the WORST TELEVISION PERFORMANCE by an r&b artist i have witnessed , she sounded like she was struggling to whisper, and at one point her backup singers whom WERE JUST AS BAD!!!...looked at each other like..."maybe we should just leave".....

MUSIQ...there is no way you can defend this, and this is why i didn't enter your promotional thread to debate this with you, i had to make this one strictly to state SHYT AIN'T RIGHT MAN...at least try TO FOOL US into thinking your talented.......... :thumbsdown:

Hopefully the album does well, I heard it, as far as RNB I like it more than Neyo's, Donell Jones's and Latoya's which are the only ones I heard so far this year. The vibe of the lp is summer music Im very satisfied with the R-les production, for the people who listen to RNB check it.

And for the people talkin bout the performance, I seen her perform on TRL and it was good, but if she has to work on it then she better for this:

This is great promotion . The NFL opener is usually watched by around 40 million people. This could create alot of buzz for diddy's album and will give Cassie a bump in the sales that week.

I guess it depends on how u look at it, she's not really Rnb shes multiple genres, Donell Jones and Neyo are soul/RnB...sort of mellow ballads, very good singers, but as far as entertainment Im feeling Cassie's debut more. It about taste...

Cassie could be considered pop/trance/techno/rnb...cant just compare her to soul...its depends on taste.

She's marketed to the Aaliyah fans. In that lane.

Besides Beyonce,Alicia and India Arie there do u really hear any females on the radio that can actually sing??... maybe theres a few others but the ones without talent outnumber them

and Aaliyah wasn't the best vocalist but she DID have a voice...she just didn't showcase it often because she would rather make pop hits

check out her performance at the Academy Awards in (97,98 was it??) for proof..

R-Les is a monster with it.

But i haven't listened to an R&B album like Ne-Yo's since Toni Braxton's Secrets (and i have hundreds of R&B lp's in my collection).

Took a damn decade for something to come close to Toni's joint. Ne-Yo has the album of the year... any genre.

Janet can sing. She has a rough almost rock voice. Like people say Jada can't sing. I haven't seen her live, but I know on that Wicked Wisdom album, she has some pretty good rock vocals and deep growls.
Nonetheless, I bet the album will do ok, maybe even great. Cause puff knows how to get the right producers together for an album. I loved both Total albums. Carl Thomas is good too, but he writes his own shyt, no? Well John Legend took his spot so too bad for him.

Thank you for bringing up this MYSPACE marketing craze, i was so sick of meeting artists and deejays this past weekend and everytime it's "i got a myspace page, check it out"...i'm like yeah and?..what's better than me meeting you right here , i can't fukk with that MYSPACE shyt , because you have to wait to get added on as a "friend" (gay ass shyt) and then play this email tag with each other, yeah there are advantages like the streaming music and pics ,

But the end of the day , nothing beats a live meeting with the artist themselves, plus we need to make these RECORD COMPANIES work harder in regards to marketing , it's some lazy shyt for some A&R guy to just search through MYSPACE pages looking for the next big thing, and plus it makes the artists lazy as well, feeling they can just sit on thier ass, and not grind it out on club stages and small venues were u need to prove yourself, i think that's the case with CASSIE she was rushed, there is more development needed for her, she is definitly not ready for the big time.
