I do back, chest and arms on different days and I'm about to throw legs in the mix. Right now I do each group about once a week...is that not enough? It's hard to make time like I used to.
Once a week is a good protective measure to prevent overtraining. If your new to lifting or just getting back into it, once a week is best for first few months. After that, you'll need to assess your own recovery needs and determine if your getting enough rest in between workouts.
