hah, you'se a funny dude. mastadon is trash, plain and simple. a band with massive potential completely ruined by a sh1tty vocalist (see also: Isis). Completely unlistenable.

God Damn. You couldn't possibly be more wrong, about both of those bands. They're both amazing.

I'll be the first to admit I don't like Mastodon's vocals most of the time but the rest of the band is too amazing for that to ruin it for me. Besides, the vocalist isn't terrible, he's just your average metal singer.

Is Mastadon like Strapping Young Lad? or Are they like The Black Dhalia Murder?

I'm not feeling those two bands, but I see Mastadon's name around alot. Are they like Converge?

Probably the best album of the year next to The Eraser and taht TV on The Radio joint.

and Mastadons singer(s) fit the music perfectly, no one is claiming their vocals are like Maynard or anything.

I'm not feeling those two bands, but I see Mastadon's name around alot. Are they like Converge?

It's hard to compare them to any new(not nu) metal band...if their sound can be compared to anyone it's Motorhead or Slayer.

They're DVD is good too. Those guys are way funnier than you'd expect a metal band to be.

They seem a lot more laid back and on the level then any other "newer" metal bands, especially a lot of that faggy metal-core sh*t.
