Why did everybody hate on Stone Temple Pilots.

I mean in an era with Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Metallica, Bush, Hole, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, and so many more, they were the greatest "singles" band of that era. Hit after hit, after hit, they brought it. "Plush", "Big Empty", "Interstate Love Song", and "Trippin' on a Hole In a Paper Heart" were probably 4 of the 20 best singles of that era. Why hate? Is it because they were "rock stars" in an era of guys who wanted to look at their shoes? What was it? Scott Weiland is one of the great frontmen of our era, the Deleo brothers wrote beautiful songs, and the drummer held it down.

after Core their albums always had a few duds but they were a quality band. Adhesive is a great song, Atlanta was a nice Doors tribute. Weiland's solo album was pretty underrated i liked it alot
