Wolf Parade released one of my favorite albums of last year in Apologies to the Queen Mary. Their indie, raw sound really made an impact on me. I nominate "I'll Believe in Anything" as the best drunk song to listen to of the past year.

Speaking of Wolf Parade, who here listens to all these Canadian rock bands like New Pornographers, The Arcade Fire, Broken Social Scene, The Dears, Metric, etc. I know some of you guys here listen to these bands, let's talk. When I get back home next week, I'll upload some tracks.

The canadian music scene is indeed pretty excellent at the moment.

Wolf Parade are great, i was lucky enough to see them here in the UK last novemeber, along with about 70 other people in a really small venue. it was amazing.

shame disco sheets and lousy pictures weren't on the album tho!

twin cinema was also one of the best albums last year.

Metric's pretty good. "Glass Ceiling" has one of the dirtiest riffs i've heard in a while, and the overall sound is incredible.

How they're not big BIG is beyond me.

The Arcade Fire's a little obnoxious sounding i think.

Metric is my current band of the moment right now.."Live It Out" is right up there with "Fever to Tell" for me, possibly even better.."Empty" is the best song off that album..Wolf Parade, New Pornographers, Broken Social Scene, Stars, Arcade Fire, Neko Case..I could go on and on, fukkin' awesome..The New Pornographers are amazing..Twin Cinema is a classic, and "Bleeding Heart Show" is definitely a top five song for me from '05..Same with Wolf Parade.."Ill Believe in Anything", "Shine A Light", "We Built Another World" (My favorite song from last year)..All these bands are currently ****tin' on everything else out right now...

Anyone here listen to the Constantines at all?

I think they are just as good, if not better then any of the bands that have been mentioned so far.

Naw, I saw that they were on, but forgot to watch.

They are semi-dissapointing live though, I've seen them three times and was somewhat let down, especially the last time.

It was a pretty underwhelming performance. And ya, I saw them in detroit last fall. They were only OK. A very forgettable show actually. The sound kept fukking up and kevin drew stripped...nuff said. But YFIP is a personal classic of mine. Way too much replay value for one album. Feel Good Lost has gotten a lot of burn from me as well.

A girl that I'm currently having sex with says they're one of her favorite bands.

What I've heard is good.
